Two Days in Laguna Beach

Spent a few nights up in Laguna Beach with the husband.  He is the travel planner, he found a little inn right on PCH.  Walked the neighborhoods and a few beaches, hung out at the pool, found a bookstore and bought a book, got some good cheese and olives.  They served a fancy breakfast at the inn.  I had lemon waffles and about 4 cups of coffee.  It was very quiet, which is nice when you have screaming kids.  Some pics below…double click on them to enlarge so you don’t miss out on all the great details.

Lovely neighborhoods, it reminded me a bit of the town in the Studio Ghibli movie "Kiki's Delivery Service".

Lovely neighborhoods, reminded me a bit of the town in the Studio Ghibli movie “Kiki’s Delivery Service.”  Though I don’t know how they would react to a girl riding her broomstick through town, since you can’t even ride a motorcycle! (see parking meters above)

This beach was a across the PCH, though we had to walk a ways to get to a crossing place. Stunning beach, more like what you find in Northern CA than SoCal.

This beach was just across the PCH from where we were staying, though we had to walk a ways to get to the tunnel that goes under the highway. Stunning beach, more like what you find in Northern CA than So Cal.  Andrew on pathway down to the beach, Vikings fan weather vane, bikini girl getting photos taken by fake medieval tower.

Lots of California scenery. Surfers waiting for a wave, two young women laid out on a rock like sushi, yoga guy doing his thing on a crowded family beach, guy with Davey Crockett fringed leather backpack.

The Casa Laguna Inn and Spa. Very pretty place, lots of flowers, fountains, warm colors, comfortable nooks.

What a great gateway! We loved all of your photos and appreciated them even more when we enlarged them. The beach looks perfect.
